Trip Overview

"Snakes to the Lake"  is a weekend of Cobra's, scenic drives and socializing with other Cobra folks and more. The trip this
year, as in years past, is being offered as a three-day event. If you are unable to leave with the "F-Troop" on Friday
morning  you are welcome to join the group at Lake Tahoe.

NEW- First Annual Snakes to the Lake Golf tournament (Monday Sept. 13)

We are adding an optional extra day to Snakes to the Lake this year for golf. For those interested we will be staying over at
the hotel 1 extra night (possibly double up in the rooms) and on Monday we will drive to
Apple Mountain Golf Resort which is
just outside of Placerville, in Camino.

Logistics-

  • For those interested in playing we have reserved 16 spots.
  • Cost is $44/per player which includes green fees, cart, hot dog & fries
  • Our clubs will be transported via SUV to Tahoe (you will need to transport your clubs back in your Cobra)
  • A limited number of rental clubs are available in the pro shop, please contact the course
  • Rides back on Sunday for Co-Pilots will be arranged, hopefully they will share space in the SUV's & daily drivers and
stop to shop, lunch or whatever on the way back home.

The Trip

"F-Troop will "snake" up to south shore on Friday via a scenic route to begin the weekend.
Our route this year will take us to historic old town Auburn for lunch before we continue "snaking" our way to South Lake
Tahoe.

Once we reach the Lake and settle in at the hotel there will be a cocktail reception with appetisers.

Friday evening: A Hosted Social Hour at the hotel (weather permitting on the deck area) with finger foods which will give
folks a chance to catch up with old friends as well as meet and welcome new ones.
Dinner is open and a list of the many fine area restaurants will be available.
